Music That Feels Like Growing Up

Our third edition is soundtracked by a collection of indie songs that capture the feeling of your late teens, and into the days of your early 20s.

The official definition of coming of age is “the age or occasion when one formally becomes an adult.” While I don’t think these tunes represent any specific moment exactly, maybe some will for you, they do feel like they capture the feeling of that rough time period, and into the days of your early 20s.

Besides a few exceptions, the overall sound of this playlist is mostly comprised of 00s and 10s indie. Given that all of our contributors grew up during this period, and with that being the defining sound of the time, this was naturally the only way to take things. The tracks have been loosely organised into an order, but feel free to listen however you like.
