Frontrunner is a digital publication that explores and celebrates film, music and the wider arts. Created for and by young people.
Having become somewhat frustrated with a world that doesn’t always feel like it’s built for younger people to succeed, a desire to make something for ourselves began to grow. We wanted to create something that could give us a space to facilitate our creative expression, as well as explore our passions and interests. Perhaps while also establishing a platform that allowed others to do the same.
At the same time we had been feeling that in 2026, culture moves faster than ever and as a result there can be a lot of noise. Most of what we see and hear are simply fleeting moments, moved on quickly by the machine to make room for the next thing. Leading to a bit of a disconnect at times.
In that spirit, we wanted this project more broadly to be one that celebrates interests and passions, encourages a more personal connection to them, and serves as a platform to dive into the diverse range of topics that encompasses.
With these ideas in mind we began to work on a concept. It took several months of hard work, during which the project adopted many forms. Now it becomes real as Frontrunner, something that we hope will continue to grow and evolve.
We will be launching a new edition at least once a month, with each being loosely anchored by a central theme. Featuring work from a range of contributors, there will be a focus on film, music and the wider arts. However every edition will cover an eclectic array of subjects, if we think it’s cool, we’ll include it.
If any of that sounds of interest, subscribe now and join the community!
